About the course

Centrepoint School of Ministry is a one-year experience for people who are passionate about leading a spirit-filled life and fulfilling the destiny God has for them. Over the year you will be intentionally discipled, imparted into by both the Centrepoint Team and speakers around our State and Nation as well as trained in practical ministry areas.

MEET THE TEAM

Taryn Hamilton – School of Ministry Director

Ps Taryn & Mitch Hamilton are the Maddington Campus Pastors and have served as part of the Centrepoint Team for over 10 years. Taryn is a vibrant communicator who is passionate about God’s word. Her energy and spark for life is contagious and makes her a dynamic and beloved leader. Taryn is committed to raising up a generation of spirit-filled disciples. Taryn & Mitch are the proud parents to their 3 children Elijah, Jairah and Ava.

Melissa Bryan – School of Ministry Student Coordinator

Mel Bryan has been a dedicated staff member at Centrepoint Church for over eight years, taking on a variety of key roles including Kids' Ministry Director, Events Coordinator, Services Coordinator, and Pastoral Care Director. In each of these positions, Mel has demonstrated exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a deep care for the people she serves. As the School of Ministry Student Coordinator, she draws on her wealth of experience to provide students with the support and guidance they need to thrive in their ministry journey.

  • Ps Joel and Sharon Chelliah

    Ps Joel and Sharon Chelliah are the founders and Senior Ministers of Centrepoint Church. They are passionate about raising a Godly generation, building strong marriages, and seeing the love of God revealed in this world.

  • Ps Joe Rossi

    Ps Joe and Lisa Rossi are the Campus Pastors of our Byford Campus. Joe is a passionate communicator who is committed to bringing God’s word to life in a contemporary and relevant way. Joe is dedicated to building God’s house and seeing people come into a relationship with Jesus.

  • Ps Peter Hammer

    Ps Peter & Eudora Hammer are the Campus Pastors of our Maddington Campus. Peter is an insightful and strategic thinker, with his humour and honesty, he is a great communicator who draws people into the
    word of God.

  • Ps Mitch Hamilton

    Ps Taryn & Mitch Hamilton are the Maddington Campus Pastors and have served as part of the Centrepoint Team for over 10 years. Mitch is an inspiring leader dedicated to seeing people fulfil their destiny in God. He is a gifted communicator who is full of compassion

COURSE FORMAT

COURSE FORMAT

Classes run every Wednesday Night of the School term from 7pm – 9:30pm.

Each night consists of worship, prayer, teaching, a supper break, practical activities such as small groups, Q&A and finishes with a time of ministry.

You will also be required to serve fortnightly at your local campus in a ministry area of your choice as a part of your School of Ministry Experience. This aspect of the course provides you an opportunity to put what you are learning into practice.

The total cost for the entire year is $2000 per student.

This includes: Guest Speaker Sessions, Student Retreats, Missions Trip, School of Ministry Shirt, and Course Resources.

Please note as this course is not accredited no government-assisted FEE-HELP is available. Our finance team can help set you up on a payment plan if you need it.

SOM 2.0 – Advanced Leadership Training

After launching Centrepoint’s School of Ministry three years ago and witnessing the growth and powerful testimonies of our graduates, we are thrilled to introduce School of Ministry 2.0!

This advanced course offers those who have completed the first year an opportunity to deepen their leadership skills, strengthen their understanding of the Word, and gain practical church-based ministry experience by leading and disciplining their own Connect Group.

Each fortnight, you'll engage with inspiring teachings, analyse real-life ministry case studies, and participate in open discussions with seasoned ministers.
