A message from our pastors
Dear Church Family,
Every year in June, our church family comes together to give sacrificially to a number of great causes that impact thousands of lives, both locally and globally. We call this event our Miracle Offering and we would love you to be a part of it.
This year our theme, “Cities of Refuge,” comes from the Book of Numbers, Chapter 35. In this passage, the Lord commanded the Israelites to set apart 6 cities for asylum. These towns were established to be a safe haven where anyone who had accidentally committed manslaughter, could flee from their avenger and find protection and justice. In a time when revenge killings were an accepted part of the culture it was only within the walls of these cities, that people could be assured of protection.
Each town was a sanctuary with the Levites as the oversight. They helped the guilty reconnect with the Lord and His people so that they could find the healing and hope they were desperate for.
These cities were evenly spread out across the length and breadth of the nation, giving every person access to asylum regardless of where they lived. There was no place in Israel more than 30 miles—the distance travellers could typically cover in one day from the nearest city of refuge.
In 2024, we want to continue establishing safe havens, building sanctuaries and making it more accessible for people to find asylum through our Miracle Offering Projects.
